We utilize methodology which is unique to our company. We teach through composition and creative writing which leads to greater confidence and musical growth. Our teachers are the highest level touring and compositional musicians.

Students participate in quarterly concerts and ensembles. Advanced students may further their musical journey by participating in open mic events and performances.

Your NYC Music Foundry teacher will create unique custom compositions specifically tailored to meet your musical needs and aspirations. We provide all the instruments necessary to begin, and help each student acquire the right gear for practice between lessons.

Group lessons are also available at a reduced rate when two or more students practice together.

Tripp Dudley is an accomplished tabla player, drummer and percussionist with performance experience in many diverse musical traditions. His deep groove and virtuosity across multiple instruments have paved the way for his many journeys around the world with many different artists.

Multi-instrumentalist Brandon Terzic has performed with everyone one from Jazz legend Henry Threadgill to the rising Sudanese star Alsarah, covering a large musical terrain both as a sideman and as a leader. Born in Akron, Ohio in 1976, Terzic took to the guitar early, absorbing the blues repertoire before traveling internationally and settling in NYC, where he studied Jazz privately with some of NYC’s finest guitarists including David “Fuze” Fiuczynski, Mordy Ferber, and Lionel Loueke.


Guitarist, composer and music teacher born in Bogotá, Colombia.

He studied music at the Javeriana University, El Bosque University and the Cristancho Academy in Bogotá.


David Ellenbogen is a versatile guitarist and the Artistic Director of the Brooklyn Raga Massive which has been recognized widely for “preserving the past while blurring genres in an inventive spirit” (New York Times), He has studied and performed in over a dozen countries including India, Mali, Brasil, Cuba and Ghana. With a Masters degree in education from Columbia University brings this open spirit and global perspective into his teaching approach.
